Uterus cancer treatment
taking the uterus (hysterectomy) surgically is a basic principle in the treatment of uterus cancer. During the operation, a sample is taken inside of the belly to determine the spreading areas of disease. Tubes and oophorones are extracted. After surgery, the whole extracted pieces are taken for the pathological survey and the spread level of the disease is determined. If the cancer spreads out of the uterus, hysterectomy provides a full cure. However, if it spreads to the other organs and lymph glands there is a need to an additional treatment. Radiotherapy is applied after surgery in the developed cancers. But, for the very special circumstances drug treatment (chemotherapy) is applied in the treatment of uterus cancer.
