If the myomas reach a proper size or they cause complaining for women, they should be treated. Otherwise, the myomas which do not cause any complaining and are detected as coincidence should only be watched. In the treatment needed myomas, the basic treatment option is surgery. There is no drug treatment which minimizes the myomas long term. While some drugs (GnRh analogs) can minimize the myomas, its effects are short term. Besides this, these drugs cause side effects in long term using. Myoma can be extracted by separating from the uterus as myoma’s surgical treatment (myomectomy). In some situations, if patient is old aged and does not need to birth a child, uterus can be extracted entirely (hysteroctemy). Myomectomy operation can be made as laparoscopic. In this operation, myomas are extracted by entering under the belly with a small camera. Small myomas which settle on the uterus’ internal wall can be extracted with an operation called hysteroscopy. In this operation, it is entered to inside of the uterus from uterus mouth with a camera and hysteroscopical myomectomy is done.
