There are various reasons of infertility. The reason of not having baby is not only depend on the women. There is also probability of men infertility. Although it is not common, both wife and husband can be infertile in some situations. Whatever reason they have, statistics show that %17 of the married couples are complainant of infertility.
The couples who have not got baby in the early years of the marriage cannot resist asking themselves: “I wonder whether the reason is me?” There are some men who divorce from his wife without applying to a doctor. And these men refuse to apply to a doctor with the fear of “What if the problem is mine?” Like all diseases, searching cure in infertility is a sense of logic.
Infertility Ranges:
Temporary infertility (enfertility):
It is the infertility which occurs as a result of not having live semen cell (sperm) which ensures the insemination. In this type infertility, miscarriage can be observed frequently.
Primary Infertility:
It is an infertility type which is seen in newly married couples. Its reason is psychologically more than organically. After the couples get accustomed to each other, it is determined that %33 in the first three months, %70 in one year, %80 in two years and %90 after two years have children. As taking into consideration of this situation, the newly married couples should not abandon themselves to despair and should wait at least two years. If the infertility goes on after two years, it is beneficial to apply to a doctor for them.
Secondary Infertility:
It is an infertility which is seen after the couples have one or two children. Its reason generally is malnutrition and disordered life standards. Inflamed wounds which occur in oophoron of women, zygote channel and uterus are the frequent infertility reasons. Exposing to a scrotum inflammation of men who experienced mumps is also a reason of infertility.
Permanent Infertility (sterility):
It is an infertility which has no chance to be cured for now and existing medical knowledge is inefficient for both in women and men.
