2009 Fall Fashion Trends – Studs
When it comes to the 2009 fall fashion trends, there are certainly a few things to say. This fall is going back to the 80s style, with its large shoulders, oversized clothing and its strong or metallic colors.
Among all these, studs find their natural place in such an expressive image of contemporary fashion. Check out how to wear studs this season!
Studs are definitely blowing up both the runways and the streets. Fashion shows are now all into studded handbags, shoes, jewelry and belts.
Every accessory is accessorized at its turn with a little help that will transform it into something glamorous.
This rocker-chic style was successfully incorporated into collections signed Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Chanel, Topshop, Burberry or Steve Madden.
Even sunglasses have been touched by this trend; you just have to think about Marc Jacobs sunglasses, “Wraparound Stud Sunglasses” ($115).

A well chosen accessory featuring studs can just about do it – a sophisticated look, and not necessarily a rocker one.
Patricia Field, the costume designer from statement-movie Sex and the City, suggested to Sarah Jessica Parker a certain belt that she apparently loved so much, that she wore it in about half of her scenes.

Studs are showing up both in clothes and accessories, you see? We especially loved the Balmain fall 2009 RTW collection, studs were everywhere and on everything, from minis to a simple blazer.
The Yves Saint Laurent leather studded biker jacket promises a lot to the one who’ll wear it, while the “it” jeans of the season seem to be True Religion Julie Stud-Pocket Skinny Jeans, a mixture of rips, tears and studs.
And of course, the Isabel Marant ankle booties, with a perfect shape and design, also featuring studs.
